Just a quick update for those who have been waiting for the next version!
I’ve been running in the elections for local government where I live in the UK for the past few months, which has taken up lots of my time as you can imagine. Thankfully, I won and got elected! Although this brings new time constraints, it is much less than before.
I’ll be spending some time over the coming week finishing off projects and preparing the next version of BP Like for release. Im hoping to get a beta ready in the next few days!

I was hoping to be able to get involved in the beta. I’m sure you have been really busy and that’s probably why there haven’t been any recent updates. Could you please let us know how the progress is going or at least insure us all that you haven’t abandoned this awesome project? Would love to see support for the Achievements plugin (http://achievementsapp.com/) where likes can be calculated as a means of unlocking an achievement.
Will the newversion integrate “Like” and “Like Reply” into the actual blogs, for example it is confusing to users when they Like a blog post in the activity stream, it does not show up in the actual post, and vice versa there is no Like button in the blog post or comments which can be clicked to update the Likes in activity stream.
Hey I upgraded my WP to 3.2, and BP 1.2.9, and BP-Like no longer functions… I has a sad.
Any updates regarding the new version? Or is this plugin dead? BP 1.5 is out now!

Just a note on Buddypress 1.5 compatibility – this plugin fails because of its use of the “is_site_admin()” depreciated function. Replacing it with is_super_admin() in the two places it occurs in bp-like.php seems to make it work fine.
